healthy homes
Together, we can help thousands of families across Colombia gain access to decent housing.
A team effort for transformation

By the end of 2021, we will have improved 200 vulnerable homes in Medellín, and over the next five years, we aim to enhance the living conditions of 10,000 households across the country.
Hogares Saludables is a program led by Cementos Argos and Fundación Grupo Argos, under the Creamos Valor Social initiative, designed to generate employment, strengthen production chains, and promote positive social transformation.
With the delivery of the first 42 homes benefiting from Hogares Saludables in the La Honda neighborhood of Medellín, we launched this program supported by partners such as Pastoral Social, Coonvite, and SENA. In the coming years, it will change the lives of thousands of Colombians.
As confirmed by Jorge Mario Velásquez, President of Grupo Empresarial Argos: “We are proud to present Hogares Saludables, an initiative that will positively transform the lives of hundreds of families, creating well-being and helping address the challenges we share as a society.”
How does Hogares Saludables work?
The process begins with a census of beneficiaries conducted with our partner Pastoral Social. In addition to improving their living conditions, communities play a leading role in their own story by receiving training and certification in construction from institutions such as SENA. This allows them to participate in the construction process, apply their knowledge, and connect with new job opportunities.
The improvements include replacing dirt floors with concrete ones and upgrading bathrooms, kitchens, and walls—enhancements that impact not only the appearance and functionality of the homes but also the health of their inhabitants.
Hogares Saludables is the result of a collective effort that also benefits local builders and hardware store owners in the areas where it operates. The increase in demand for products, construction materials, and specialized labor stimulates local economies. In the following video, you’ll discover how the union of many efforts makes extraordinary things happen:
An invitation to change thousands of lives
We can all help change lives like those of Gladis Soto and Darío Castañeda. For every 50 kg bag of General Use Gray Cement you purchase, we will donate $200 pesos to strengthen the Hogares Saludables program.
Gladis Soto, a community leader in the La Honda neighborhood, shares her experience as a beneficiary:
Mr. Darío Castañeda is a well-known entrepreneur in his neighborhood, skilled in repairing small household appliances, and with the improvements made to his home, his life will surely change for the better.
In addition to your cement purchases, you can join this noble cause — you can make a voluntary contribution here
Let’s change lives!
Together, we can transform the reality of a Colombian household!
